Artist Statement
Selected mediums: photography, collage, object.
In my projects, I address the themes of identity, escapism, time and cultural heritage. My works cover various genres of photography — portraits, self-portraits, minimalistic landscapes, urban abstraction, conceptual photography.
In the process of creating works, I am constantly experimenting, looking for ways and forms of conveying ideas. I like to mix different styles and techniques, to look for new meanings.
Portraits and self-portraits have a special meaning for me: they serve as a powerful tool for self-discovery and introspection, act as a form of therapy that allows you to navigate and experience various emotional states.
Through the landscape, I strive to find harmony in the surrounding space. I often choose places that evoke a feeling of calmness and self-absorption. They can serve as a space for meditation, encouraging viewers to contemplate the beauty around them, to reflect on the place of humanity in the vast world of nature.
When shooting elements of urban architecture, I am also in search of harmonious combinations. I try to distance myself from objective reality and focus on the sensations caused by the interaction of color, shape, light and shadow, to see the beauty in these combinations. A beauty that often goes unnoticed in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
I invite viewers to join me in these studies, encouraging them to reflect on their identity and connection with the world around them.
