The project is a reflection on the passage of time and the transformations it gives rise to, on the transience of human creations against the backdrop of the inexorable passage of time.
Reflections on the cyclical history of transformations, how humanity conquers territories from nature, builds its creations, objects, cities; time passes, and with it landscapes change, in some places entire cities and civilizations decline and disappear from the face of the earth, in others, on the contrary, new ones arise. In abandoned areas, nature is regaining what it has lost.
Thus, each place has many stories to tell—stories of growth, decline and rebirth, endlessly told anew.
It is a visual dialogue about the resilience of nature and the fleeting footprint of humanity. It is an invitation to reflect on the cycles that govern our existence and the legacy we leave behind.
Cyclicity also occurs in the form of project presentation — alternation and interaction of volume and plane:
When photographed, a three-dimensional landscape turns into a two-dimensional picture; new volumes appear on the printed image by cutting and folding elements, which, when photographed again, become two-dimensional again.
Thus, the original image acquires new content, while at the same time preserving past features from which its history can be read.
